Learn how to easily locate your invoices and payment receipts in Google Ads, and keep track of your costs and payments.
You know the situation. It is time for accounting, and all invoices need to be checked – including the invoice for Google Ads advertising. But where exactly do you find them? Which button should you click? It is not especially intuitive, so we have created a short guide below to help you navigate to the right place.
Invoices cannot be set up to be sent automatically – you need to download them directly from your Google Ads account. They are usually generated by the 5th working day of the month.
However, it is possible to download a payment receipt for a transaction as soon as it is processed/registered. You can then print this document if needed. See below for instructions.
Here’s how to find your Google Ads invoice and payment receipt.
In the new version of Google Ads, you will find your invoices as follows:

In the old version of Google Ads, you will find your invoices as follows:
Log in to your Google Ads account: https://accounts.google.com/ Check that you are logged into the correct account.
Click on the “gear” icon in the top right corner:

Select Billing and payments

Click the link with the 13 digits – under the text “VAT invoice for EU (1)”
The invoice will now be downloaded.
Print: On the right side of the line, you will see the print icon – click on the icon.
On the above page with the date lines – click on a date line to expand it.
Click the link “Automatic payment ….”

A print-friendly version of the payment receipt will be displayed.
Invoices are usually generated on the 5th working day of each month. If it falls on a weekend or public holiday, invoices may appear a few days later.
There must have been a payment request in the given month for an invoice to be generated. If not, you may see a blank invoice – or no invoice at all.
Check that the date view is correct. See the date selector at the top to ensure the correct date range is chosen. If you have further questions, you are always welcome to contact us! 🙂
